Located in Chinteni village, this individual residence is defined by its harmonious integration into the natural and local context. The concept is designed to maximize the potential of the sloping terrain, creating a direct and fluid connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
The heart of the house lies on the basement level, where the living area unfolds as an open space, flooded with natural light thanks to its southern orientation and expansive glazing that opens the house to the garden.
The ground floor is dedicated to complementary functions: the garage, office, guest room, and technical spaces, all optimized to support the residents’ daily rhythm, seamlessly blending utility with aesthetics. The ground-floor terrace, functioning as a modern porch, not only offers a relaxing outdoor space but also provides shade from the intense southern sun.
The attic, designed as the night zone, serves as a retreat of intimacy and comfort, offering spectacular views of the sky and surrounding landscape through carefully positioned windows.
The project explores the duality between intimacy and openness, between restrained and expansive aesthetics, through an ingenious juxtaposition of facades. On the northern side, the facade is more opaque, simple, and elegant — a manifestation of privacy and reserve, lending the structure a sober and mysterious appearance for the external viewer while creating a layer of intrigue for visitors.
In contrast to the northern facade’s sobriety, the southern side of the house opens generously to sunlight and the vibrant landscape, with large glass surfaces that bathe the living spaces in warm light and invite nature inside. This aspect of the house is revealed gradually, as a pleasant surprise during the interior journey, unveiling an ever-changing interplay between the indoor and outdoor environments. The transparency and openness of the southern facade encourage contemplation and the integration of domestic life with the natural surroundings, transforming the home into a sanctuary of light and panoramic views. The woven stone finish, typical of the region, gives the building a strong identity and establishes a visual dialogue with its environment.
Situată în comuna Chinteni, această locuință individuală se definește prin integrarea armonioasă în contextul natural și local. Conceptul este gândit pentru a exploata la maxim terenul în pantă, creând o legătură directă și fluidă între spațiul interior și exterior.
La demisol, inima casei este reprezentată de zona de zi, un spațiu deschis, inundat de lumină naturală datorită orientării sudice și vitrajelor generoase care deschid casa spre grădină.
Parterul este dedicat funcțiunilor complementare – garajul, biroul, camera de oaspeți și spațiile tehnice, fiecare fiind optimizat pentru a susține ritmul de zi cu zi al locuitorilor, îmbinând utilul cu esteticul. Terasa de la parter, ce funcționează ca un pridvor modern, oferă nu doar un spațiu de relaxare exterioară, ci și protecție împotriva soarelui puternic de sud.
Mansarda, destinată zonei de noapte, devine un refugiu de intimitate și confort, oferind priveliști spectaculoase ale cerului și peisajului, prin intermediul ferestrelor atent plasate.
Proiectul explorează dualitatea între intimitate și deschidere, între esteticul rezervat și cel expansiv, printr-o juxtapunere ingenioasă a fațadelor. Pe partea nordică, fațada se prezintă mai opacă, simplă și elegantă, o manifestare a intimității și a reținerii, oferind construcției un aspect sobru și misterios pentru privitorul exterior și creând un prim strat de curiozitate pentru vizitator.
Contrastând cu sobrietatea fațadei nordice, partea sudică a casei se deschide generos către lumina și peisajul însorit, cu vitraje ample care învăluie spațiile de locuit într-o lumină caldă și invită natura înăuntru. Acest aspect al casei se dezvăluie treptat, ca o surpriză plăcută, odată cu parcurgerea interioară, descoperind un peisaj interior-exterior în continuă schimbare și interacțiune. Fațada sudică, prin transparența și deschiderea sa, încurajează contemplarea și integrarea vieții domestice cu mediul natural, transformând locuința într-un sanctuar al luminii și al panoramelor. Finisajul de piatră țesută, tipică zonei, conferă construcției o identitate puternică și un dialog vizual cu mediul înconjurător.
